Vivian Lau
Award winning Director of Photography and photographer based in Los Angeles CA, from New York City.
Vivian's narrative films have played and won awards internationally throughout North America and across Europe and Asia, including Canada, Hong Kong, Bucharest, and Italy. Vivian’s documentary work has taken her across North and South America, including 3 international tours with musical artists.
Vivian attended Emerson College in Boston and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Film Production. She is a member of the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) and the International Collective of Female Cinematographers (ICF+C). She is one of twenty graduates of the Class of 2019 American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory’s Cinematography Intensive for Women.
Vivian is passionate about visual storytelling, particularly in subject matter that raises up and highlights underrepresented communities, including POC and LGBTQ+ led stories.
