Vivian's narrative films have played and won awards internationally throughout North America and across Europe and Asia, including Canada, Hong Kong, Bucharest, and Italy.
Vivian attended Emerson College in Boston and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Film Production. She is a member of the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) and the International Collective of Female Cinematographers (ICF+C). She is one of twenty graduates of the Class of 2019 American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory’s Cinematography Intensive for Women.
Her documentary DP credits include the Diljit Dosanjh Dil-Luminati North American 2024 tour documentary, Goldenvoice’s ASCENDING Coachella short documentary, as well as camera operator (hi-8 and digital) and stills (35mm and Polaroid) photographer on HBO Max’s LIL NAS X: LONG LIVE MONTERO documentary (TIFF 2023). As well as going on tour with Lil Nas X and Diljit Dosahnj, Vivian recently was touring with Mariah Carey in Brazil during her headline show at Rock in Rio 2024.
Clients include Sony, Nike, Conde Naste (Vogue, Vanity Fair), Kodak, Goldenvoice, Indeed, & LG.
Her cinematography work on the short film TO YOU MY LOVE won Best Cinematography at the 2021 Image + Nation Film Festival, and was selected to program at Outfest Fusion 2021 & Inside Out Toronto 2021. Her college thesis film BLUE: TALES FROM SUBURBIA was awarded BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY - GOLD AWARD at the 2018 LA Shorts Awards, as well as being selected to program at festivals across the USA, Poland, Bucharest, and Hong Kong. Her other college thesis film HELL BENT was awarded BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY - SILVER AWARD at the 2018 LA Shorts Awards.
Vivian is passionate about visual storytelling, particularly in subject matter that raises up and highlights underrepresented communities, including POC and LGBTQ+ led stories.
